On June 8, Sports Khan reported that Song Ha-na refuted claims she had insulted the former president, blaming “armed incitement” by online communities and asserting she never visited the location in question or created the manipulated image herself.

Song Ha-na clarified she only reposted a friend’s story and did not create the edited content. She condemned false claims linking her to certain online groups and pressuring advertisers as defamation and threats.

She said she has faced backlash since discussing her “coming out” and will take legal action against those spreading false narratives and misusing memes like “Igiya.” She also confirmed she has no ties to any brands, working full-time elsewhere while freelancing as a model.

Song Ha-na explained the “sister” mentioned is a friend, not family, and denounced the mocking “sister community” label. She confirmed her Instagram was temporarily deactivated due to weekend work, with stories still in her highlights.

She challenged foundations to pursue legal action, stating she would fully accept any court judgment. “If I’m at fault, I deserve punishment, and I will respond transparently,” she said.

Closing her message, Song Ha-na asserted, “I’m not a public figure in the full sense—I’m not obliged to write apologies. There is no justification for criticism from either the left or the right. If a foundation takes issue, then that is their problem—with them, not with me.”

Earlier, Song Ha-na shared a post on her Instagram story saying, “My younger sibling visited Bonghwa Village, and it’s really interesting,” sharing a friend’s post.

The shared post included a sign originally saying “Caution: Falling” replaced with a derogatory term insulting former President Roh Moo-hyun. It also showed a paper wish tied with a note saying, “Martial law this, rebellion that, putting a paper like this on it,” and the phrase, “What is progress to us? Something that has never existed in South Korea. And never will.”

After the controversy around the post, Song Ha-na’s Instagram account was set to private. Some criticized her for possibly “disappearing” or avoiding responsibility. It was also reported that some netizens protested directly to brands she had modeled for in the past.

Born in 1996, Song Ha-na has worked as a racing model and attended motor shows. She was a racing model for CJ Logistics Superrace Championship team With Motorsports and was active in motorsports events. In 2022, she won the bikini queen title at the Super Queen Model Contest. She is currently working as a freelance model.
